Learning How To Take Great Pictures with Mark Umstot Photography

This one day seminar is aimed at beginners and those with some knowledge of digital photography who want to master their digital SLR cameras and improve their photography. It’s time to switch your camera off of the “P” button or “Automatic.”
Take full control of your DSLR camera and even have lots of hands-on practice with aperture, shutter speed and manual mode.
What sort of things will Mark cover?
Cameras & Lenses
Apertures (AV and F Numbers)
Shutter speeds (TV)
JPG and RAW
Hands-on practice with your camera (We’ll head out on the street and test our new skills).
What you’ll need to bring to the seminar
Camera gear: Bring your camera, with a fully charged battery (or batteries), charger, memory card(s). Important: If you can, bring your camera manual. Every camera model is different and we may have to check individual settings by reading your camera manual.
Money for lunch: We’ll head out for lunch together at a location close to downtown.
Notebook and Pen: We suggest that you bring a notebook and pen so you can take notes during the seminar.
• Numbers for this seminar is deliberately kept to a minimum to ensure that you get the most out of the class. So, if you call and it’s full, we can put you on a cancellation list or get your info for our next seminar.
• Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather and we sometimes have to adapt our seminars to take weather conditions into account since we will be going outside for part of the time. Please bear with us.
