I love doing fine art family portraiture with a twist. The thing is, I just hate boring photography.
So, how do I get around that? Well, here’s my goal, a little technical, but it’s what I want. To be able to communicate with a subject, observe, and then intuitively capture an image of that individual on film.
Whether I photograph a corporate executive, a high school student, a family, or a one-week old baby, my objective is to take photographs that look natural and reveal my subject’s character. I also want to attempt to make it fun for you at the same time. Seriously. You ought to see the outtakes.
A well-made portrait takes some planning. Let’s take into account these things: the purpose and style dictate location, lighting, attire and other important decisions. I want to make every effort to ensure that my clients (soon to be friends) will receive a portrait that they can admire and enjoy forever.
About My Portraiture
With the help of my subjects, we can create images that succeed in portraying character, creating mood, or expressing relationships.
My photoshoots are never rushed. Above all, I want to create portraits that will truly portray you, your family, or your children. I am more than willing to take the time to do just that.
That picture that I take is only the raw material that I use to create your finished portrait. That image that only took 1/250th of a second to create is the same one I’ll spend a whole lot more time with in Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop to edit/enhance/nuture into something amazing!
Your portrait, then, is truly an artwork of a very personal nature. Yes, it’s going to be decoration, but it’s more than that. It’s a subtle reflection of your good taste and appreciation of fine workmanship, as well as a most appropriate expression of your personal style. Sounds like some fancy sales pitch, but it’s true!
So, let’s create something different, special, and better together.
